Our Client, an internationally renowned major OEM based in the UK, requires a Chassis Engineer to provide technical support for the development of vehicle Chassis systems
Chassis Engineer Responsibilities:
Chassis design & development with a requirement to support other Drivetrain activities as required
Creation of component drawings and specifications for new vehicle variants or European vehicle special editions.
Verification of parts quality to comply with relevant company standards.
Analysis of warranty concerns in conjunction with Head Office R&D, production facility and suppliers.
Cost reduction activities
Supplier liaison for localisation of components in UK and Turkey, analysis of supplier proposals, vehicle teardown and own research.
Research of advanced technology through benchmarking of latest test technology trends
Qualifications, skills and experience required:
Degree in automotive engineering or demonstrable experience with either an OEM or automotive parts supplier.
Proactive approach with high level of self motivation and flexibility to change
Excellent PC skills particularly Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge of CATIA V5 or analysis software an advantage
This role will require occasional travel overseas.
