Our client a leading supplier to the Aerospace Industry are looking to appoint a 3 Month Contract MRP Controller based in Derby.
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO SECURITY VETTING BEFORE COMMENCEMENT.
An opportunity is available for an MRP Controller within a large aerospace engineering organisation. You will create, maintain and communicate detailed production plans of specific part orders and gain commitment acceptance where necessary to enable the master production plan to be achieved. In addition, you will update the Supply Chain Management Team, Regional Purchasing Manager with the implications of meeting customer requirements.
You will need to ensure supplier delivery commitments are reflected into SAP, respond to supplier enquiries and manage adherence of schedule lines to ensure delivery to plan. This will also include new parts introduction; you will ensure that paperwork and relevant information transfer is adhered to. You will act as the primary interface with suppliers to lead and co-ordinate all improvement activities associated with planning, control, inventory, delivery and lead time. You will resolve any unverified invoice queries and associated cost changes as a result of schedule changes. In additional, you will lead Supplier Development activities.
The suitable candidate will be SAP literate and have previous experience as an MRP Controller (ideally within the Aerospace Industry). You will have gained experience in a Manufacturing or Purchasing environment and a have a thorough working knowledge of production planning and control techniques. You will have a good understanding of the requirements of quality systems; inventory control and IT systems.. You must be an excellent communicator and be robust in your approach along with possessing problem solving and proactive skills.
You will be working with sensitive data and as such you should be willing to undergo Security Vetting before being able to commence the contract.
