As part of our ongoing support to our client, we require 2 Non-conformance Engineers for an initial 6 month contract with an hourly rate of £26.50 on a limited company basis.
Function
To undertake technical investigation and sentencing of non-conformance requests and drawing alteration requests for gas turbine components.
Profile
Candidate will be experienced in the design of high-integrity mechanical components. It is likely that successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent.
Desirable Experience
Design of gas turbine components including at least one of the following areas:
Turbines – blades, discs, casings
Compressors – blades, discs, casings
Combustor Casings
Shafts and transmission systems
Engine ancillaries – lubrication, fuel, hydraulic systems etc
Defect investigation.
Support to manufacturing, including processing of concessions and production permits and specification of repair schemes.
Potential Background
Gas turbine OEM or supply chain.
Automotive with engine/supercharger/turbocharger/transmissions experience.
Steam turbine OEM or supply chain (eg. power generation systems).
