Environmental Protection Policy

The Board of Directors recognise their duties with regard to Environmental Protection Legislation. We will meet and, where appropriate and feasible, improve upon the requirements of all relevant legislation.

We are committed to maintaining the quality of life of the local community in which we are based, and of those communities in which our construction projects take place, having taken into account project and clients requirements.

The company is committed to preventing pollution via the impact of its operations on the environment, by minimizing waste and the recycling of resulting waste, reduction in the use of raw materials, and a reduction in energy consumption for an office based business.

We wish to minimize the effects on global environment by conserving resources, particularly those that are scarce or non-renewable.

We will provide the information necessary to enable the Company products to be used, stored and disposed of so as to avoid unacceptable effects on man and the environment; however it is not the company's intention to itemize significant environmental aspects of its business as direct impacts on the local community are considered to be of a minimal nature.

Management Involvement

Managers at all levels throughout the Company must take individual responsibility to ensure that environmental issues are considered carefully when making decisions or when tendering, purchasing and controlling work.

Assystem UK will implement and operate the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System to further enhance environmental performance. Improvement in environmental performance shall be realized by achieving our Environmental objectives, as set by Senior Management, theses will be subject to periodic review and audit. Our main environmental goal is to improve energy and resource efficiency, and reduce waste.

Objectives and targets may be set out side of this forum at any time by Senior Management in reaction to any circumstances that may present themselves.

Objectives and targets are consistent with the stated aims of this policy to comply with all applicable requirements, prevent pollution and continually improve. They are formally reviewed at the management review but also periodically reviewed by the management representative who retains a full listing of all environmental objectives and targets and their status.

Workforce Involvement

All employees will be expected to become familiar with their individual responsibilities for acting in accordance with the Company Environmental Policy, and the Company will provide adequate assistance to achieve this via the company intranet and at new employee induction.
